Reinstalling after a full uninstall fixes many installation problems, especially after upgrading from an earlier version.
Before uninstalling
Try resetting your Synergy 3 settings first; it fixes most problems with an installation. If your problem is still there afterwards, continue with the steps below. For the reset steps, see: Local settings in Synergy 3: login screen, beta updates, appearance and reset

Other package managers
Please read the documentation for your package manager, and follow the instructions to remove a package. If you're having problems, please contact us
Removing config files
For a more thorough uninstallation, manually remove the config files which are stored on disk:
- Windows:
C:\ProgramData\Synergy - macOS:
~/Library/Preferences/Synergy - Linux:
~/.config/Synergy
If Synergy 1 is also installed on the same computer, it keeps some of its own settings in the same Windows and Linux folders, so removing them resets Synergy 1 too.
