Product: Synergy 1
Operating system: Windows
If your Windows user name contains accented or other non-English characters, such as éöáä, and Synergy 1 can't read its server configuration, save the configuration to a folder outside your user profile and point Synergy 1 at it. Do this on the server computer.
Once you use a config file, the layout editor in Configure Server is turned off; to change the layout later, edit the file.
- Open Synergy 1.
- Click the Export server configuration button (the save icon next to Configure Server) to export your existing setup.
- Save the configuration to a folder outside your user profile, for example
C:\SynergyConfig\synergy.conf - Click Configure Server, and then go to the Config file tab.
- Tick Use a server config file, then click the folder button and choose the file you saved (for example
C:\SynergyConfig\synergy.conf). - Click OK, then click Start (or Restart if Synergy 1 is already running).
Synergy 1 should now be able to read the configuration and start properly.
