Operating system: Windows
If you can't click Yes or No on a UAC prompt (such as when installing a new application) on a Windows computer you control with Synergy 1 or Synergy 3, let it run as system on that computer. It's on by default, so if you have this problem it has probably been turned off; turn it back on with the steps below, on each Windows computer where you need to answer UAC prompts.
What follows depends on your product: Synergy 3 or Synergy 1
Synergy 3
- Open Synergy 3
- Go to the Miscellaneous settings page
- Turn on Run in the background service (for UAC prompts and the login screen)
- Turn on Run as system to allow UAC interaction
Synergy 1
- Open Synergy 1
- Go to Edit > Preferences
- Go to the Advanced tab
- Make sure Use background service (daemon) is ticked, then tick Always run as system (work at login screen and UAC)
- Click Save
