What is screen wrap?
Screen wrap lets your mouse move continuously from the last screen in a row to the first, creating a loop. For example, if you have two screens side by side and move your mouse off the right edge of the second screen, it will reappear on the left edge of the first screen. This makes navigation between multiple displays more fluid and efficient.
You set it up with a text config file, because the layout editors in Synergy 1 and Synergy 3 can't make a loop.
Steps to enable screen wrap
Start from your current configuration as a text config file, edit its links as below, then load the edited file. How to get the file and load it, in Synergy 1 or Synergy 3: Creating and using text config files
Edit the links
Find section: links. You might see something like:
section: links
server:
left = client
client:
right = server
Edit it to create a wrap:
section: links
server:
left = client
right = client
client:
left = server
right = server
Sandwich arrangement
When one computer's monitors sit on both sides of another computer's monitor:
- Create the wrap as outlined above.
- On the computer with two monitors, swap the two monitors around in the operating system's display arrangement settings, so its switching edges are reversed.
It will look strange in the display settings, but physically the configuration is correct: the operating system's layout now matches the Synergy 1 or Synergy 3 layout.
For a vertical configuration, you'd stack the monitors on top of each other.
