On the server computer, click Configure Server, then double-click a computer on the Computers tab. The Computer settings window opens for that computer. Click Save, then OK in Server Configuration; if Synergy 1 is running, it restarts to apply the change.
Computer Info
Name must match the name that computer shows next to This computer's name: in its own Synergy 1 window, or it can't connect. A name can't be empty, can't contain spaces, and must be different from every other computer in the layout.
Aliases
Other names this computer may connect as, for example its full network name. Type a name and click Add; select one and click Remove to delete it. An alias can't be an IP address or the same as the computer's own name.
Modifier Keys
Choose which key each modifier becomes on this computer: Shift, Ctrl, Alt, Alt Gr, Meta and Super can each be set to any of those keys or to None. A common use is swapping Ctrl and Super so Windows-style shortcuts work on a Mac. Step by step: Swap or remap modifier keys (Ctrl, Command, Alt Gr) in Synergy 1 and Synergy 3
Dead Corners
Tick a corner (hover over each box to see Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left or Bottom Right) to stop the cursor leaving this computer in that corner, and set Corner size. The server's own dead corners are on the Advanced tab of Server Configuration.
Fixes
Tick CAPS LOCK key, NUM LOCK key or SCROLL LOCK key if that key behaves oddly on this computer, for example Caps Lock switching on but not off. Some keyboards report these keys as on or off instead of pressed and released, and this setting tells Synergy 1 to expect that. If the key acts strangely on every computer, tick it for the server.
XTest for Xinerama is for Linux computers using X11 with several monitors, where the cursor lands in the wrong place.
