Operating system: Raspberry Pi OS
On 64-bit Raspberry Pi OS, install the arm64 package for your release of Raspberry Pi OS, as below. On 32-bit Raspberry Pi OS, ask us to build the current version for it.
Check which Raspberry Pi OS you have
Open the terminal and run:
dpkg --print-architectureIf it prints arm64, you have the 64-bit Raspberry Pi OS and can install the ARM64 package. If it prints armhf, you have the 32-bit version.
To see which release you have, run:
grep VERSION_CODENAME /etc/os-releaseIt prints trixie for Raspberry Pi OS Trixie (based on Debian 13) or bookworm for Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm (based on Debian 12).
Installing on 64-bit Raspberry Pi OS

Install Synergy 1 or Synergy 3 on each one, with the package for its own Raspberry Pi OS, as above.
Background
ARMHF stands for "ARM hard float", and is the name given to a Debian port for ARM processors (armv7+) that have hardware floating point support, which is found on most modern 32-bit ARM boards. ARM64 (also known as AArch64) is the 64-bit extension of the ARM architecture.
In short, ARMHF is 32-bit, and ARM64 is 64-bit. You'll need to install the package that matches your Raspberry Pi OS (formerly Raspbian), not just your Raspberry Pi's processor: a 64-bit Raspberry Pi can run the 32-bit Raspberry Pi OS, and then only an ARMHF package works.
What follows depends on your product: Synergy 3 or Synergy 1

Installing
After downloading, you will be given a command you can copy to install Synergy 3 in the terminal. For other Linux operating systems on Raspberry Pi hardware, use the arm64 Flatpak under Other Linux.
On Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm, Synergy 3 works only in an X11 session, because Debian 12 doesn't have the libei library Synergy 3 uses for Wayland. For the steps to switch, see: Starting at login on a Raspberry Pi
